The Analogous Enterprise is an idea. It is not a rap label, group or clique. In September 2013, a group of like-minded solo artists came together in Louisville, Kentucky and recorded together based on mutual respect and a similar philosophy about music.

Analogous is a word used to group similar but not completely identical things together. We are a collective of rappers, singers and other talented individuals who truly believe that creating groundbreaking music is the most important part of being a musician.

We all approach that goal in different ways, but they are all strangely similar and equally potent. That is why we are Analogous.

This album is not technically an album, it's a mixtape. It is an ALBUM QUALITY project however, it's only considered a mixtape because the true debut Analogous album is still under wraps. For now.

"Don't Follow Rules" is a collection of all the notable music we've made since that fateful day in September 2013 where we realized we stumbled onto something truly special in hip-hop.

We do everything. Literally. If you love hip-hop for ANY reason, you will be reminded of that reason somewhere in this album. The beauty of Analogous is that we all bring something different to the dinner table, but everyone brings a full entree.

We do not play games. We are not here to waste your time with bullshit records, bullshit beats, bullshit background stories and bullshit braggadocio about how great we are, all while feeding you generic music. Fucking no. We pride ourselves on excellence.

This album is for you. This is for Louisville, KY and all our supporters who come out to our shows and love us, but haven't had access to our songs at their leisure. This is for every person who struggles to find solid hip-hop music.

This is that heartfelt but not corny, lyrical but not incoherent, conscious but not condescending, mainstream but not soulless, REAL FUCKING HIP HOP MUSIC! We got that shit. In spades.

The Analogous Enterprise proudly presents "Don't Follow Rules". Because we don't. We rap about whatever we want, however we want, with the ONLY goal being that the final product is well above the accepted standard.
